Greetings after so long! 今北海道に留学します!

Assalamualaikum!! Being an oversea's student made me realise the importance of acquiring the skill of cooking. And why is that? Simple. Because it's hard to find halal food whenever you wanted to dine-out. 4 months in Asahikawa all I've eaten are sushi and udon! Those are the most less syubhah I guess. Even when it comes to buying a bread, I have to read the ingredients carefully cause they tend to contain lard. Being the only muslim girl and international student here in Japan, Asahikawa to be precise; is kind of hard. The struggle is real! All my senpais and friends are guys. Wherever I go, I go with'em. I've no choice. Luckily I was brought up in a family of 9 which 5 of them are guys. 慣れてきました hewhew

Okay coming back to the main topic, during these 4 months I've been experimenting quite a few recipes. I usually cook when I have to study for test or exams haha It is a great way to release stress y'know! I cooked the most during the month of Ramadhan. As you all know, Ramadhan is the month which people tend to crave for so many kinds of foods! Well, I'm not being exempted though. There's time I cooked the spicy Gulai Ikan, the pasar malam's style Apam Balik and even the common yet truly Malaysian's Murtabak Maggi! I'll be posting my cooking from time to time so make sure to stay tune! Till then, toodles!
